Bowie

Posted by Nicole Asher on

Bowie bolted from her newly adopted home within moments of arriving in Yorktown Heights, NY. Ashley from Southern Paws rescue contacted me immediately and a plan was put in place, stressing the importance of not chasing. It’s a difficult concept for most to grasp but dogs will typically return to the point of escape if not chased or pursued, regardless of how long they have been there or how unfamiliar the area is to them. She had already been sighted seven houses down running but I was confident she would return if she was allowed to calm down. A trap was set, the area was cleared of people and by 3:30 am I texted Ashley that was she was in the trap and safely captured. Welcome Home Bowie and it was a pleasure working with you Ash to get this baby to safety.
