Zlata

Posted by Nicole Asher on

Luna/ Zlata missing in the Elk Pen area of Harriman State Park has been safely reunited with her devoted family!

Dogs that go missing from hiking situations tend to return to the point of entry or parking area and just as predicted, this morning she was sighted back at the parking lot. A trap was set this morning in the rain and within approximately 15 mins Luna caught scent of the food and was coming out of the trail with her nose in the air making a bee line for our trap. In perfect synchronization a truck had just pulled in and as the owners were there to stop it Luna recognized their car and they were able to get her. We are so happy that Luna’s big adventure in Harriman State Park is finally over. Thank you to all involved who rallied around this girl to bring her home.
