Romeo

Breaking News… Romeo in New Paltz, NY has been captured!!!

This frightened boy escaped from the car as he was arriving at his new foster home.

If you think an injured dog can’t run, think again. With a broken pelvis, he crossed the Wallkill River and was running through the woods, along properties that backed up to the fast flowing river.

Posters went up and this morning we received a sighting. I immediately headed up making the two hour drive to New Paltz. I spotted him running along a property off the river and set a trap. Within two hour he was safely captured!

Thank you to Dina an amazing rescue advocate and all who hung posters.

He is safe in my car and we are on our way to Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge.
