Rocco (Porter)

Posted by Nicole Asher on

Rocco who escaped transport in Port Chester, NY has been safely captured after a week on the run. Rocco is a trap savvy dog who was trapped less than a month ago down south.
He was running a 3 mile daily loop through Port Chester. Three strategically placed feeding stations were set over three mile span and in one night Rocco was on camera at all three!!! This morning by one of the feeding stations a call came in that he was in their back yard. Acting fast Dan and I trapped him in with enclosure panels. Once he knew he was captured and there was no escape he allowed me to approach and put the slip lead over him. Rocco is safe and sound and on his way to Second Chance Pet Adoption League where he will be vetted and begin his new journey to a better life. Thank you to everyone who hung posters, prayed and were rooting for this sweet boy!!
