Mac

Posted by Nicole Asher on

Missing since December 15th in Ridgefield Park, NJ, Mac has been safely captured after eleven days on the run in bitter freezing temperatures.

The family grew increasingly concerned that someone had taken him as there were no sightings. Yesterday, they had a Christmas miracle when they learned that Mac had been sighted three miles away in a yard in Teaneck, NJ.

Mac’s owner immediately headed over to the sighting and sat on the ground with some Turkey. As is common with dogs in survival mode, Mac didn’t recognize his owner and he frantically found an escape route under the fencing and took off.

A feeding station was set and as hoped, Mac returned to the property during the night. Today we were able to safely capture him this afternoon and reunite him with his family.

Thank you to Rosa from the Bergen County NJ Lost and Found Pets for all your support to Mac and his family and to the Gee family, who graciously allowed us to set up on their property during the holidays.

Welcome HOME Mac!
